About the project

CODE48 is a strength and movement gym for people who train seriously. The founders wanted a brand that feels like the training itself: raw, honest and strong, without the neon clichés of the fitness industry.

We designed a gorilla mark, heavy numerals and a black and white photo style lit by pulse pink and plum. The system works on walls, signage and merch that members actually want to wear outside the gym.

A mark with weight

The gorilla stands for strength with control. It is drawn with heavy, simple shapes so it survives embroidery, vinyl cutting and a 3-metre wall mural.

The numerals 48 became a second mark. Together they give the gym a recognisable signature on caps, socks, bottles and the entrance sign.

Black, white and a pulse of colour

Photography is black and white and close to the body. Pulse pink marks energy and calls to action, plum adds depth for campaigns.

The restraint makes the colour work harder: one pink detail on a black wall is enough to say CODE48.

Process

How we worked and what we made

  1. 01Brief and goals

A first meeting, the right questions and clear goals: what the brand has to achieve and how we will measure it.

  2. 02Strategy and message

One clear position, values, tone of voice and, when needed, a name and a brand line.

  3. 03Logo and identity

Mark, wordmark and rules, refined until they work on a business card and on a facade.

  4. 04Visual system

Colours, typefaces, graphic elements and photo style that hold everything together.

  5. 05Rollout

Stationery, signage, vehicles, digital templates and the office, all from one system.

  6. 06Digital and campaigns

Social media, campaigns and content that carry the brand online.

Questions
Can a gym brand work without bright colours?

Yes. Restraint makes the one accent colour stronger and keeps the brand serious.

Do you produce the merch?

We design it and prepare production files; we can manage suppliers on request.

Do you work with companies outside Bulgaria?

Yes. We work in English and Bulgarian and hand over files ready for any printer or agency.
